Beth Sufian received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1990 from the University of Texas School of Law, where she earned the Victor and Myra Ravel Scholarship in Children’s Rights Law. Ms. Sufian received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ms. Sufian concentrates her practice in health law, representing individuals with serious medical conditions in long term disability claims, Social Security claims, and matters related to access to health care. She also represents pharmaceutical companies, national health care organizations, manufacturers of medical devices and other health care entities in variety of legal matters.

Beth has written two books and has had over 20 articles published in medical journals including: CHEST, American Journal of Respiratory Care, and Pediatric Pulmonology. She has presented more than 100 speeches at hospitals and health care conferences around the country for physicians, healthcare providers, people with serious medical conditions and their family members.

Among many distinctions, Baylor College of Medicine awarded Ms. Sufian the First Annual Transitions Service Award recognizing her outstanding work for young adults with chronic illness. In 2007, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation presented Beth with the one of their highest honors, The Alex Award, for her efforts to educate physicians, healthcare workers and the CF community on the legal rights of people with CF. Texas Lawyer named her one of 40 outstanding lawyers under age forty in 2001, and TIME magazine recognized her as a "Local Hero" in 1996 for her service to people with disabilities. She is rated AV (the highest rating) in the Martindale-Hubble peer review rating.

Beth is also a mediator trained at the Harvard University Law School Mediation Training Program.
